A Call to Prayer and Fasting
As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said..(Acts 13:2a) “Call a FAST for all the people to minister to me; to consecrate themselves, that their faith may ARISE!!”
The Leadership of WCC is in agreement that the Lord is asking for “The Summoning of His Troops” to continue, by calling all of us who are part of Woolwich Community Church to participate in.

Please watch and listen to Pastor Kelly’s video below, on us fasting together, and use it as a tool to refer to during the fast for guidance and encouragement throughout the 3 days.
How To Fast
For those of us who can, we recommend that we fast from all food (and drink only water). This will be a partial fast that will start on Friday at 6am until 6pm, then again on Saturday at 6am until 6pm and finally on Sunday at 6am until we end the fast after our online Church service at 12 pm midday. At 6pm each evening we recommend an evening meal. Those amongst us who have medical conditions, or may not be able to abstain from food for other reasons, should try and join in as much as possible; i.e. fasting for one meal a day/giving up snacks/chocolate/alcohol/television/etc. Please be aware that those of us who usually drink caffeinated drinks, and decide to give up caffeine for the fast, may experience withdrawal symptoms (i.e. headaches)! The idea is that we give up something that we love - don’t give up green vegetables if you don’t like eating them anyway!! Please let’s not hesitate to talk to each other about our experiences and/or struggles with fasting and learn from each other. Also, let’s ask the Lord how He wants each of us to fast – He knows each of us better than we do ourselves, and He knows what we can or cannot do!
Times of Prayer
Fasting and prayer goes together. Please take time to meet together at the Zoom prayer meetings and to pray throughout the day as the Spirit leads you. Write down anything you believe the Lord is saying so you can share that with others for their edification, exhortation and comfort. If you are not used to Zoom, please ask someone to help you access it!
