Our Senior Pastor

Kelly became a Christian after her two cousins came knocking at her door with the gospel message almost 30 years ago. She powerfully encountered The Holy Spirit and life would never be the same again!! She met Carlie who would later become her husband when she was 15, they had many young adventures together.

Kelly had an instant passion for winning souls for Jesus and quickly became part of a young vibrant church in East London and helped to plant many new churches. She married young and planted a church in Greenwich which she helped lead for 7 years and was used by the Lord in preaching/teaching/children's & youth ministry. Little did she know that she was being trained in the school of the Holy Spirit. Kelly divorced and continued to serve and love God whilst raising her three children. She came to WCC in 2000 and was burned out, exhausted and totally finished with ministering to God’s people. She sat at the back of the church physically & spiritually. The Pastor later told her how she once said to him " I have decided to come to this church but please don’t call me, follow me up or do anything, I’m ok". She remembers sitting at the back of the church criticising how things were done. In the years which followed the Lord patiently and lovingly healed her of the many wounds she was carrying. In her determination NOT to use her calling/gifting’s, or be part of any ministry again she continued to run away from the Sprit’s gentle reminders of His purpose for her life. God had told her very clearly in her early years of Christianity that she was “Born to bring revelation of Jesus to his body & the world”. 

During her time at WCC The Lord said to her, It's time to get educated Kelly. She had been expelled from school and had NO qualifications. God instructed her to do an Access course, to which she replied, what is an Access course? And off she went on an adventure of education. To date she has a Degree in Social Work, a Degree in Learning Disability Nursing and a Diploma in Advice & Guidance for young people. Kelly married her childhood sweetheart, her husband Carlie, and they were both lovingly restored and healed at WCC.

God decided to invade Kelly & Carlie's world in a very supernatural way during an annual visit to Revive, a Christian retreat & opened up the realms of the prophetic to them. Kelly boldly decided that since God had WOKEN HER UP! Everyone around her was waking up too!! A whole new ministry was birthed, which is called Prophetic Fresh Encounters. This also opened up a new revived passion for the youth of this generation and Kelly became the Youth Minister at WCC with her husband Carlie.

A Prophetic word was to come to pass in Kelly’s life that she will be both “STARTLED & DELIGHTED” by God, and that she would “Shepherd God’s people, but not in the way of man’s understanding, she will shepherd his people in the ways of the prophetic as a cleansing covers the land”
