I Will Never Understand

I will never understand the uneven balance of life
When faced with the emotions of pain and strife...

Losing the joy and vibrancy of a close loved one
In a moment of time a life is done.

I will never understand the length of our days
In spite of our Father who hears all our prayers
The period of space between Birth and Death
The Void in the hearts of the Family that’s left

I will never understand why we don’t live forever
With bodies that’s healthy, strong and uniquely clever
But God has a plan to elevate us more
To a higher level, where he has greater things in store.

I will never understand why life comes to an end
But while we are here in the short time we spend
Believe that the pain in your heart will mend
And feelings of hope and comfort will transcend.
